NMC HISTORY
The ministry that began in Nahoon around the turn of the century started when the Rev Wilkinson Rider found that the children playing on Nahoon beach had no Sunday School to attend. This led to the construction of a wood and iron building which was used from the early 1900’s until 1921. The congregation themselves then erected a building over the old wood and iron structure so that worship could continue uninterrupted. This much loved old building, twice altered and expanded, served the needs of Nahoon until 1986 when the new complex was officially opened. At Nahoon we want to bring people into an ongoing experience of God so that we might grow both in the way we know and serve our Lord. It is our deep desire that all who see Nahoon as home, can be honest with God and worship Him in a way that is most appropriate.

WHO WE ARE
A growing church.

As a church, we want NMC to be your home. By that we mean a place where you can grow to become fully the person that God has created you to be in a place of security. Yes, this is a place where people who have been hurt by life can find rest and healing. Part of that healing is being made strong again so that you can go and serve God. In Jesus, God demonstrated His love for all creation, and as the church, we are called to follow in Jesus’ footsteps by demonstrating similar compassion and service.

MISSION STATEMENT
By God’s grace, we seek to be growing in love for God and for all God’s people by discovering, living and declaring the Gospel. Through freedom of worship we seek to encourage an honest encounter with God.
